Zuleika Gallery is thrilled to announce its next exhibition This is the Place, New Works by Philippa Jeffrey from 18th March until 8th April in our gallery in Woodstock.
Philippa Jeffrey is an abstract painter inspired by American Abstract Expressionism of the post-war era and counts Helen Frankenthaler and Richard Diebenkorn among her influences. A highly visual and creative person, Philippa has always loved print, pattern and colour and worked for Conte Nast immediately leaving Leeds University having gained a BA(Hons) in Fine Art with History of Art. Jeffrey always uses water-based paints in an attempt to be more sustainable as a painter and finds inspiration from nature and the landscape surrounding her home on the Oxfordshire Warwickshire border. Her paintings are a calming, beautiful tonic to be around in our often hectic and restless lives.
